Hi friends,
Hope you all are doing well. Today I am going to review an eye shadow palette from the brand Makeup Revolution London . I was in search for an affordable eye shadow palette and this brand grabbed my attention .Makeup revolution products are widely available on websites. The redemption palette comes in variety of shades. Here are my thoughts on the Hot Smoked palette. Hope you like it.
Price Rs 1200 for 14 grams.

My Experience with Redemption Palette Hot Smoked
The product comes in a sleek bar type palette. The brand name is printed in the front of the palette. The packaging is travel friendly and it has all the details and ingredients of the product at the back of the palette. It comes with a dual ended sponge tip applicator. It contains 12 pigmented eye shadows both in matte and metallic finish. These eye shadows are perfect for creating sultry smokey looks. This eye shadow palette is said to be a dupe of Urban Decay Smoked palette since I don’t have UD palette so I can’t say much whether it is a perfect dupe or not, but some shades are similar to UD smoked palette . All shades are soft and smooth and can be easily worked on and blended. It is advisable to apply eye shadow primer for best colour payoff and prevent creasing. These shadows stay for 7 to 8 hours with primer and 4 to 5 hours without primer after which it starts to fade. These shadows have minimum fall outs. It has 5 matte shades and 7 shimmery shades. I am quite impressed with the shimmery shades but matte shades are a bit chalky except black. Let’s take a look at the shades one by one as these shadows are nameless, we will number them from left to right for better understanding.
1st shade – Matte light beige perfect for brow bone highlight.(appears ivory in swatch)
2nd shade -Darker version of shade 1 can be used as transition shade or again brow bone and inner corners of eyes. This is also matte.
3rd shade – Beautiful shimmery grey.
4th shade -Matte dark brown can be used to fill and shape brows.
5th shade- Matte Black (very useful)
6th shade – Shimmery chocolate brown
7th shade -Shimmery Plum (Love this).
8th shade – Shimmery Turquoise or sky blue .
9th shade -Shimmery Forest green.
10th shade -Shimmery smoked grey.
11th shade Matte lavender.
12th shade -Shimmery purple.
Pros
- Affordable and Travel friendly
- Good for beginners
- Easily blendable
- Easily available
Cons
- Matte shades are a bit chalky
- Staying power without primer is not good.
- Packaging not comparable with high end brands.

Rating 3.5/5.
Final verdict
Overall I am very happy with the palette and as a beginner it is a worthy investment. It is cheap and easily available. If you have used expensive high end palettes you might not enjoy it but it is good for young girls and beginners. I was very excited as it was my first eye shadow palette and I am satisfied. Please let me know your thoughts and experience with the product I would love to read them and don’t forget to share looks created by using this palette.
