Today I am going to talk about a CC cream by Lakme. I have used Maybelline and the Oriflame tinted moisturisers in the past and I really enjoyed them. This product is there for a long time in the market I know I am late but it is better to be late than never.Be it a CC cream or BB cream they are nothing but fancy names to tinted moisturisers.I purchased the mini one to test the product. My friends and family members love this ,so lets know what I have to say about it.Read on loves.
Price :Rs 120 for 9 grams
Product Claims: Lakme describes it as a complexion care aka CC cream as an instant skin stylist. Basically a combination of skin care cream with a hint of makeup, to give you the best of both world. Its skin care benefits include sun protection, moisturizing, brightening and freshness whereas its make up benefits are evening the skin tone and concealing. It has SPF of 20 which means that if you skin starts having sun-burn in 10 minutes, than it can give you protection for 200 minutes (Normal Sunburn Time x SPF).
My thoughts on the Lakme 9 to 5 CC cream
It comes in a beautiful rose gold packaging and golden cap.The packaging really stole my heart. The outer box is a fucshia colored cardboard box which have all the details about the product. The packaging is convenient and easy to use.It is sturdy and travel friendly. It comes in two shades Beige and Bronze.First and the foremost thing which I noticed was that it smells very similar to Lakme perfecting liquid foundation.I think the formula is also very similar.I have used the whole bottle of the foundation so I am very familiar with it.The cream is light weight and absorbs pretty quickly. It is like a sheer foundation and blends beautifully into the skin. The color Bronze is a good match for me but they should have introduced more shades as the product is very popular. It does not conceals heavy pigmentation but it evens out the complexion well.If you have dark under eyes you have to apply a concealer. The staying power is good as it stays for 6 hours on my skin.I think the texture is fine neither too thick nor thin.People with dry skin have to moisturise their skin as it can look cakey and cling to dry patches. These are easily available online and offline from a local grocer to Lakme counters every where.I got mine from a local grocer .If I have to vote for the Maybelline one and lakme one I will give thumbs up to the Maybelline one.I think Maybelline one conceals pigmentation better than Lakme. It has SPF 30 PA ++ in it which is a bonus. The things which I do not like about it is that it is very pricey for the quantity and secondly the feeling which I get is that it is similar to Lakme perfecting foundation puts me off.I mean if you are charging so much give something new at least and Lakme perfecting foundation is cheaper than CC cream.
Lastly,I want to say that it is good CC cream with decent pigmentation and wear time .It is perfect for daily wear and looks natural on the skin.It is readily available but color selection is limited and it is a bit expensive.
