Hey beauties,
Today I am going to share with you all an eye shadow palette which was released some times back.,it is the result of collab between Colourpop and famous youtuber Amanda Steele and these are the first pressed eyeshadows from Colourpop. This palette was on Last call on Colourpop’s website on 50% discount.I really loved the colour scheme something not in my collection so I decided to pick it.I got it from an insta store .
Price : 18 USD .I got it for Rs 900 plus 100 shipping.
Product claims :
A highly pigmented formula that applies evenly and feels super velvety. This long-wearing shadow contains a unique combination of soft powders that adheres easily to the eyes, gives a soft focus effect, and blends smoothly and evenly.
My thoughts on Colourpop Weekend warrior eyeshadow palette
Packaging : It comes in a purple colour cardboard packaging. The packaging is sturdy and good quality but I think it is way too big for four shadows only.It has a magnetic closure.I find the packaging chic and beautiful. It is sturdy to travel but too big for four shadows.
Shades : There are three Matte and one shimmer shade in the palette. The colours are almost cool toned. You can achieve sultry smokey looks from the palette.I love the fact it has three matte shades. The shade named “burnout” is my favourite from the palette.
The four shadows are from L to R:
Throttle :Beige with slight sheen
Harley : A matte grey with purple hints
Burnout : A matte dark teal
Chopper : A matte blackish purple
Texture : The shadows are smooth and pigmented. They are easy to blend and buttery to touch.Even mattes are crazily pigmented. The shimmer is not too glittery but has a slight sheen to it.The darker colours have little fallout but it do not experience any kick back from the shadows.
Staying Power :The shadows have decent staying power. They stay upto 5 hours without primer. The primer can definitely increase the staying power. They do not crease also.
PROS
- Beautiful colour scheme
- Amazing pigmentation and blendablity
- Decent staying power
- Chic packaging
- Affordable (For U.S residents)
CONS
- Availabilty in India
- Not for those who wear neutral looks
- Not affordable for Indians unless you get it on a discount
Final Thoughts
I think it is nice cool tone palette for those who love smokey looks. The colour scheme is fab and quality is top notch. The only problem is its availability in India.I think Amanda Steele has done a great job,it is difficult to find such matte shades easily. If you love the colours definitely go grab the palette.
Rating : 4.5/5
