The Ordinay Hyaluronic acid 2% + B5 review

hey everyone,

Today I am going to share with you all my experience with a skincare product which I have been using for a long time.It is The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic acid.I have dry skin and normal thick moisturizers were not working for me so thought I should try this serum.I think by now everyone of us know about Hyaluronic acid and its benefits so I am not gonna discuss it here.I will share what I think about this product so lets begin.

Price : 5.99 GBP for 30 ml from Cult beauty ( Not available in India)

Product description:
Featuring three types of hyaluronic acid (at low, medium and high molecular weights) this lightweight serum offers serious skin smoothing – at a surprisingly small price. Penetrating the skin to reach its deeper layers, The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 delivers lasting hydration and offers visible plumping and moisture retention so that skin looks smoother, softer and healthier. The hyaluronic acid at the centre of this super serum attracts up to 1000 times its weight in water, while a brilliant boost of vitamin B5 heals dry and damaged areas by stabilising the skin’s barrier function and promoting the growth of stronger tissue.

My thoughts about the product

It comes in a clear glass bottle with a dropper. The packaging is very basic but it is sturdy and good quality. The outer packaging is also very basic in a white cardboard box with all the details, description and price of the product. The actual product is transparent and has a thick consistency. It is feels tacky if applied too much .It is not water or gel,it is something in between. It is a water based serum and it is supposed to be used before any thick cream or oil based serum. The Ordinary states that only a little amount has to be used so I use only 2 or 3 drops and spread it on my face and neck after toner. It spreads easily and because it is water based it absorbs quickly into the skin.It is light weight and absorbs after massaging for a couple of seconds. The skin instantly feels hydrated and plump.I have dry skin with some dry patches here and there and I have to say that this serum really helps to heal my dry patches. This serum is not meant to be used alone. It should be followed by a moisturizer.I use to apply The Ordinary’s Natural Moisturising factor after applying this.I started using this product six months ago and I am on my second bottle.I actually love this serum. After using one and a half bottle of this serum I can say this serum really helps to heal my dry skin.I started seeing difference in my skin after using one week and still enjoying this product.Since The Ordinary is based on layering products so this serum alone will not be able to give desired results. It is very important to apply a moisturizer after this serum.I absolutely love the combo of Hyaluronic acid 2% and Natural moisturising factors. These two have been my saviors for my skin.I do not have dry patches on my skin now.I have tried it with other moisturizers and it works fine .

It is also very important to follow a routine regularly to see visible differences to the skin.I do not have anything bad to say about this product. It is affordable and little goes a long way.It should be kept in mind that only few drops are required and a moisturizer after it is a must. The only con is it is not available in India but you can check Cult beauty to get International shipping promotion.I purchased it from Cult beauty and was not charged any custom as the total bill was very low.I got it during International shipping free offer.

I hope you find it useful .

Thank you.
