Colourpop Ultra glossy lip Champagne mami

hey everyone,

Today I am back with another Colourpop product review.Colourpop had free International shipping during black friday sale and I went over board and purchase many things. So many Colourpop reviews coming soon.Colourpop launched their new ultra glossy formula.I have Moonchild from Kathleen lights collab and really enjoy the formula.I picked Champagne Mami and here are my thoughts about the product.

Glass-like shine with subtle shimmer and sheer tint. Enriched with jojoba oil to moisturize, nourish, and and provide a cushiony feel for juicy, fuller-looking lips.

Shade description :You gotta hit them angles with your phone out in this rose gold

Price : 6 USD. I got it during an offer for 4.8 USD

My thoughts about Colourpop Ultra Glossy Champagne Mami It comes in  a pale pink outer cardboard packaging .It has  small circles printed all over the box which looks stunning. The actual product comes in a transparent bottle with silver cap.Champagne mami is a rose gold gloss with very tiny sparkles and has pearlescent formula which gives glass like shine with subtle shimmer. It looks beautiful in the bottle and on the lips as well. The shade looks beautiful on my lips without lip liner also.It looks very natural and gives a sheer muted pink tint to the lips.I think it will suit a variety of skin tones.I looks amazing on my Indian skin.It is a perfect every day gloss. The formula is light weight and non sticky .

The glitters are smooth and non gritty. The pigmentation is decent for a gloss. It stays for 3 hours or so then it needs to be reapplied. The staying power is decent as it is a gloss and touch ups the always needed. It does not have any smell. It keeps the lips hydrated, gives high shine and make lips look plump and juicy. It also has a brush tip applicator which I like a lot.It helps to spread the product evenly on lips. The brush tip also help to layer gloss on any other lipstick without disturbing the colour.I do not find any con or drawback of the product.I enjoy it.I highly recommend this colour to everyone.

Hope you enjoy this post

Colourpop Lippie Stix Brink and Cami : Review & Swatches

Hi peeps,

I am back again with a Colourpop review and this time we will discuss about their lippie stixs. Colourpop was running a BOGO offer on their lippie stixs so I have to avail the offer.BOGO offers are amazing .I never miss them and Colourpop keep bringing these tempting deals now and then.Brink was in my wishlist for so long so I ordered Brink and Cami. Read on to know more.

DSC04699DSC04701

Price : I got it for Rs 300 each plus shipping.

Product Claims :

Lippie Stix Formula contains Vitamin E, Mango, Avocado, and Shea butter for added comfort and moisture. None of our Lippie formulas contain any nasty ingredients like Parabens or Sulfates.

Matte Full-coverage lipstick that is super long-wearing, ultra comfortable, and loaded with pigment

Matte X Full-coverage, SUPER matte lipstick (think liquid lip status) with a very unique, lightweight, and velvety feel.

My thoughts about Colourpop lippie stix

Packaging : It comes in a white coloured retractable packaging. It has a white cap  and shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the lippie stix.I found lippie stix smaller than Ultra matte and satin lipsticks. The packaging is nice, light weight and travel friendly.

Cami

DSC04706
Brink

Shades :Brink is a rosey terracota shade. .It will suit all skin tones. It is a matte finish

DSC04708
Brink( top) Cami (Bottom)

Cami is Matte X finish and it is a cool toned mauve color. It will also suit all skins.

Both the colours are suitable for everyday and office wear.

Formula and staying power : The formula is velvet matte and light weight on lips. These are not as drying as ultra matte and it can cover dry patches but it is always a good idea to moisturise the lips.It is very pigmented and single swipe is enough to cover lip completely. However, they are not transfer proof. It is best for those who are not habitual of wearing liquid lipsticks but love the finish. It give same finish but with comfort and hydration. It stays for 4 to 5 hours and can survive light snacking. It fades evenly and it easy to reapply it.It is easy to remove these.

Overall,I really like the finish and the formula of the lippie stix. The price is also reasonable and the colours are amazing. The only drawback I found is the staying power and the fact that they cannot survive light meals.  I totally recommend these cuties.

Hope you enjoy the post.Lemme know your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you,

XOXO

Colourpop Ultra Glossy lip Moon Child : Review and swatches

hey everyone,

Today I am going to talk about Colourpop again but this time I will talk about their gloss formula. This is my first ultra gloss purchase from Colourpop.I have not purchased any gloss since a long time and glosses are making a comeback so I thought why not try this.It is a collab product by Kathleen Lights. She is my favourite and her collabs are always talk of the town.So without much rambling lets begins .

DSC04640DSC04642

Product claims :

High shine gloss with medium-coverage, crème finish in a moisturizing and non-sticky, comfortable formula.

Stay wild in this pinky nude with gold glitter

Price : 6 USD .I got it for 550 plus shipping

My thoughts about Colourpop Ultra Gloss Moonchild

It comes in  a pale pink outer cardboard packaging .It has  stars printed all over the box which looks stunning. The actual product comes in a transparent bottle with golden cap with star printed at the neck of the bottle. It has kathleen’s name also written at the outer as well as inner packaging. Moonchild is pale pink gloss and it has golden specks of glitter. The shade is too pale for me if applied alone but with a nude lip liner underneath it works fine.It is a perfect nude for very fair to fair skin girls.Medium to deep skins can make it work by applying a nude liner of their choice. The formula is light weight and non sticky .The glitters are smooth and non gritty. The pigmentation is decent for a nude gloss. It stays for 2 hours or so then it needs to be reapplied. The staying power is decent as it is a gloss and touch ups the always needed. It is a beautiful nude for fair girls but I will not recommend it to Indian medium skin girls like me.

dsc04647.jpg

Overall I enjoy the formula of the gloss and it is a nice product to have.Kathleen nailed it with the colour ,formula and packaging.

Nykaa GLAMOReyes liquid eyeliner Enchanting forest : Review and swatches

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to review latest launch from the house of Nykaa. This is my first ever Nykaa product. Nykaa’s launches are always  bang on because I think they have very good PR network. They have collaboration with top bloggers hence their launches always create a buzz in beauty market.I really love this colour and the price was pretty affordable .I love coloured liners but this will be my first liquid liner ever.I am kohl and gel liner kinda girl.It is available in various different shades and if I like this I might buy other shades such as plum and teal .Lets get into the review now.DSC03967DSC03968DSC03969DSC03970

Price : 299 .Buy here

Quick Overview

Well, hello glam eyes! A bold release that packs a punch of stunning color in just one swipe, Nykaa’s Glamoreyes Liquid Eyeliner is all you need to get the most fabulous eye look on. What’s great about this product is its melt, crack and run resistant properties. This refined liner glides perfectly across the lash line for a gorgeous fluid application, leaving you looking super sensational!

Nykaa Glamoreyes Liquid Eyeliner – 03 Enchanting Forest : Let your eyes work the magic with our Nykaa Glamoreyes Liquid Eyeliner in Enchanting Forest. This beautiful deep green hue is sure to take everyone’s breath away!

My thoughts on Nykaa Glamoreyes liquid eyeliner Enchanting forest

It comes in green coloured   matte plastic bottle with a long black cap.The packaging is neither luxe nor cheap ,it is average. It comes in a red colour outer cardboard with the brand name and details written on the box.The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the bottle. The packaging is light weight and travel friendly. The brush of the eyeliner is very fine hence it is easy to make fine line with it.I am very bad at liquid eyeliners but I managed to draw a thin line, hence suitable for beginners also. The cap of the liner is very long so it is very convenient to hold and draw line or wing. The shade enchanting forest is a beautiful  green colour. The liner dries to a glossy finish and after it dries down it is smudge prove and long lasting. The liner dries after a couple of minutes. The shade enchanting forest is pigmented but two coats are needed to build and intensify the colour.I find the formula comfortable and does not irritate my eyes. The colour showed up on my medium skin beautifully but I heard some blogger with darker skin tones that the colour becomes too dark on their skin almost black after drying.Nykaa Glamoreyes liquid liners have  a great staying power of around 8 hours but I find that it is very easy to remove with water.I tried to wipe it off with baby oil but it does not come off easily .I find it is very convenient to remove the liner .

DSC03976DSC03975Overall ,I find it is a great affordable option for beginners and students who do not want to splurge on makeup. It is a fun way to beautify eyes for daily basis. The liner is pigmented, staying power is great and shades are stunning.I am very happy with my purchase .I am happy that any Indian brand comes up with amazing coloured liquid liners. Will recommend if you love coloured liners.

Here is a quick eye swatch .I applied no makeup or base on my eyelids

Colourpop X Amanda Steele Weekend Warrior eyeshadow Palette : Review and Swatches

Hey beauties,

Today I am going to share with you all an eye shadow palette which was released some times back.,it is the result of collab between Colourpop and famous youtuber Amanda Steele and these are the first pressed eyeshadows from Colourpop. This palette was on Last call on Colourpop’s website on 50% discount.I really loved the colour scheme something not in my collection so I decided to pick it.I got it from an insta store .DSC03791

Price : 18 USD .I got it for  Rs 900 plus 100 shipping.

Product claims :

A highly pigmented formula that applies evenly and feels super velvety. This long-wearing shadow contains a unique combination of soft powders that adheres easily to the eyes, gives a soft focus effect, and blends smoothly and evenly.DSC03785DSC03787

My thoughts on  Colourpop Weekend warrior eyeshadow palette

Packaging : It comes in a  purple colour cardboard packaging. The packaging is sturdy and good quality but I think it is way too big for four shadows only.It has a magnetic closure.I find the packaging chic and beautiful. It is sturdy to travel but too big for four shadows.

Shades : There are three Matte and one shimmer shade in the palette. The colours are almost cool toned. You can achieve sultry smokey looks from the palette.I love the fact it has three matte shades. The shade named “burnout” is my favourite from the palette.

The four shadows are from L to R:

Throttle :Beige with slight sheen

Harley : A matte grey with purple hints

Burnout : A matte dark teal

Chopper : A matte blackish purple

DSC03788DSC03789

DSC03792Texture : The shadows are smooth and pigmented. They are easy to blend and buttery to touch.Even mattes are crazily pigmented. The shimmer is not too glittery but has a slight sheen to it.The darker colours have little fallout but it do not experience any kick back from the shadows.

Staying Power :The shadows have decent staying power. They stay upto 5 hours without primer. The primer can definitely increase the staying power. They do not crease also.

PROS

  • Beautiful colour scheme
  • Amazing pigmentation and blendablity
  • Decent staying power
  • Chic packaging
  • Affordable (For U.S residents)

CONS

  • Availabilty in India
  • Not for those who wear neutral looks
  • Not affordable for Indians unless you get it on a discount

      Final Thoughts

I think it is nice cool tone palette for those who love smokey looks. The colour scheme is fab and quality is top notch. The only problem is its availability in India.I think Amanda Steele has done a great job,it is difficult to find such matte shades easily. If you love the colours definitely go grab the palette.

Rating : 4.5/5

Look I created using the Palette (sorry for brows as always ;))

Do you want me to post the breakdown of this look?Lemme know in the comment section below .

Makeup Revolution Redemption Acid Brights Palette : Review & Swatches

Hey everyone,

Today I am going to talk about another palette from Makeup Revolution London. This is my third palette from the brand and many more are in my wish list. These are very affordable and specially when on discount. The only reason to purchase this palette was the presence of purple, orange and berry toned magenta shades in the palette.Ever since the launch of Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette orange and magenta colors are so much in trend. As ABH palette is really expensive in India so I am always in search of palettes with similar colors. This palette has many neon shades which I am not going to use, some of you might use them but I am not courageous enough to wear such colors. Still I bought it because it was on discount and except 2 or 3 colors all colors can be used.

Price Rs 1200 .I got it for Rs 450 from an insta seller.

DSC03633DSC03626DSC03628My thoughts about Acid Bright Palette

The product comes in a sleek bar type palette. The brand name is printed in the front of the palette. The packaging is travel friendly and it has all the details and ingredients of the product at the back of the palette. It comes with a dual ended sponge tip applicator. It contains 12  eye shadows  both in matte and metallic finish. These eye shadows are perfect for creating  bold, bright and sultry smokey looks.  The eye shadows do not have any names. All shades are soft and smooth and can be easily worked on and blended. It is advisable to apply eye shadow primer for best colour payoff and prevent creasing. These shadows stay for 7 to 8 hours with primer and 4 to 5 hours without primer after which it starts to fade. These shadows have minimum fall outs and kick back. This palette is a very close dupe of Sleek Acid palette. The shimmers are very soft and pigmented however some matte colors are a bit chalky, but it can be make workable by layering on a few times.Purple is the least pigmented eye shadow as u can see in the swatches also.I have numbered the eyeshadows from left to right for the purpose of explaining.

  1. Berry toned magenta (matte)
  2. White (matte)
  3. Neon green (matte)
  4. Neon Orange (matte)
  5. Cobalt blue (shimmer)
  6. Aqua blue (shimmer)
  7. Pinky purple (matte)
  8. Khaki Gree (matte)
  9. Neon pink (matte)
  10. Neon green (matte)
  11. Silver Grey (shimmer)
  12. Black (matte)

DSC03629

Pros

  • Affordable and Travel friendly
  • Good for beginners
  • Easily blendable
  • Easily available
  • Shimmers are pretty

Cons

  • Matte shades are a bit chalky
  • Staying power without primer is not good.
  • Packaging not comparable with high end brands.
  • Contains parabens
  • No mirror

Rating – 4/5

Overall it is a great buy for beginners who want to play with bold bright colors. It is a nice palette for the price. The shadows are not top quality but not bad either. The shadows are blendable and workable.

Thank you for reading.

Please let me know your thoughts about the palette in the comment section.

Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Brown : Review & Swatches

Hey everyone,

I love wearing brown kajal during day time and a brown kajal is staple in my vanity.I love how brown kajal defines eyes without making it too obvious.I am going to review Lakme eyeconic brown kajal. This is among those products which I have repurchsed. Indian market have a few brown kajals and it is a good affordable option.Lets begin with the review now.DSC03349

Price  Rs 250 for 0.35 grams.

Product description

  • 10 Hr.
  • No smudging.
  • Waterproof.
  • Dermatologically tested.

My thoughts about the product :

The kajal comes in a sleek black colored twist up pencil. The pencil and the cap both are black in color. It is travel friendly and very convenient to use.It is safe to carry it in purse. The cap perfectly fits the pencil. It comes in five different shades which is very impressive. It is cocoa brown kajal with a matte finish. It is very pigmented and smooth when applied. It works pretty well on both upper and lower lid.It does not smudge easily so if you want that smudged look, be quick. It is creamy and does not tug or pull on the lids. The staying power is good it stays for around 5 to 6 hours on the lower lashline and 3 to 4 hours on upper lid.It is waterproof. If you want to increase the longevity you can set it with a dark brown eye shadow. It is very affordable and easily available both online and offline. This is my second pencil, I love everything about it. Only con I think is that it does not live to the claim of 10 hours stay.I will definitely repurchase it once this gets over.

Rating :5/5DSC03348DSC03352

Overall,I really like this product and recommend everyone to buy it.

Thank you so much

Makeup I regret buying or never use

Hi everyone,

I am trying to bring versatility to my blog post so I decided to some different and fun post rather than  review of products .I love to try new makeup and every new launch excites me but I always do a thorough research before buying any product but sometimes we tends to buy products which does not work for us.So,in today’s post I am going to talk about makeup which I never use or regret buying. Some products in the post are good quality and highly raved but these does not work for me as the shade doesnot match my skintone or my skin type.Lets get started:

  1. Oriflame Eternal Gloss, Kiss me Coral – I love the shade of this gloss but the formula is very weird .It is sticky and the stickiness stays even after removing the product which I hate. The shimmers are chunky and sits on lips which is hard to remove.DSC03309
  2. Blue Heaven Fashion waterproof Mascara – I was in urgent need of mascara and went to my local shop to buy Maybelline mascara but it was not available and the only option I was left with was this .This mascara does nothing to the lashes I have to do ten coats of it to  get a little volume and curl.Even though it says it is waterproof but it is not, which is kinda disappointing.DSC03306
  3. Miss claire Born to Glow Illuminator Makeup Base ,Gleam – I have love and hate relation with this product so I am always hesitant to use this,it is said makeup base but I find it too shimmery to be used all over the face.I cannot think of mixing it with my foundation as the shade I have will not go well with my skin tone. The only way I find it workable is that to dab a little on high points of cheeks. In short,I have not found the right way to use it,I am confused for this one may be because of the shade.DSC03300
  4. Colorbar Velvet Matte lipstick – I purchased this one because there are so many reveiws praising it and it was pretty affordable too but sadly I do not use it often.I hate its smell,it settles into fine lines and it stains badly.I have other options in my vanity which are far better than this.
  5. Maybelline Dream Mousse foundation – The product is awesome but I got a wrong shade I purchased Light 1 which is too light for me and it has pink undertone.I got confused at the counter and picked the wrong shade.I am very sad for this one.DSC03310
  6. Lollipops Paris Anti Cernes Concealer in  Biscuit – I got this in my fab bag .The shade is dark for me, it does nothing to hide pigmentation or even out skin.It settles into fine lines and the application is steaky. It is the by far the worst product in my  vanity.DSC03308

So with this we come to the end of my regret buying makeup list.I hope you enjoy it and it helps you in any way. Please comment and let me know your thoughts about this post.

Sivanna Colors Cheek & Contour Palette 03 : Review & Swatches

Hey everyone,

How are you all? I am going to talk about Sivanna Colors cheek and contour palette. If you dont know about Sivanna Colors read here . I purchased it from an insta seller named charis enterprise, they have a lot of sivanna makeup.I like Sivanna makeup because they are quality and affordable .They have a large variety of makeup from eyeshadows to lipsticks, highlighters etc etc.I decided to purchase this product as it is good when you are on the go and dont want to carry different blush contour and compact.Lets quickly move on to the review.

Price :  Rs 360.

Review of Sivanna Colors Cheek and Contour Palette

The palette comes in a black cardboard packaging with a see through upper portion and the back portion has all the ingredients and details of company. The actual product is housed in sturdy black plastic case,it a transparent lid and at the back the shade number is written. It is travel friendly .It comes in four different shades. The palette has four pans two of them are blushers, one is contour and one is compact ,it is written glow on the pan but it is matte so I use it to set my under eye area and all the concealed areas. All the four shades are matte .I find that the contour shade is a little dark for me so make it workable I use a very light hand on the pan so that I get the least color. The blushes are matte pink and matte peach. All the colors are smooth and pigmented they are not chalky what so ever. They last for 6 hours on me which is decent amount of time.I wish that the highlight shade had some shimmers. The only drawback I think is that it does not have a proper highlight shade. The thing which I love about it is that it is travel friendly and one palette caters to the requirements of blush, contour and compact (for me) highlight for no one I think.

20170630_141535
swatches from top to bottom

Rating : 4/5 ( one mark less for no good highlight )

Conclusion : I like this Sivanna cheek and contour  palette because it is affordable and decent quality. This is my first face palette and I highly recommend this to those who are on a budget or makeup lovers who love to test new makeup. But before buying see properly  that the contour shade is matching your skintone, enquire from seller thoroughly then only place order.

Thank you so much for reading

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips Bumble and Speed dial : Review & Swatches

Hello beautiful girls,

I mentioned in my Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip review  that I grab some stuff from colourpop during their free international shipping offer.I am a big fan of their Ultra matte lip and want to increase my collection so I purchased two more shades which is Bumble and Speed dial. You can read my Foxy mini set review here.Lets see how I find these babies.

Product Claims :

This thin and lightweight formula glides onto the lips leaving SUPER intense colour with a bold, ultra matte finish. It’s very long wearing and completely kiss proof!

20170527_141656

Price : 6 USD .I got for 4 USD. Rs 258 each.

2017-05-27 14.31.35

Shades :

Bumble : It is the best seller of Colourpop and most loved shade also.It is described as warm rose .I find it a warm terracota shade with more red in it.t is a univerally flaterring shade and a  a must have shade from Colourpop.

Speed dial : It is described as deepened peach. It is a part of Colourpop’s Just peachy collection and it is darkest among all.I find is a beautiful and vibrant peach color. It will suit all skin tones pretty well.

20170527_14185220170527_1418342017-05-27 14.32.48

My thoughts about the product

These lipsticks come in white cardboard packaging with shade name written at the bottom.Lipsticks are packed in a transparent bottle with a silver cap.The doe foot applicator is perfect for easy and smooth application. The formula is light weight and applies like a dream. These are very pigmented and opaque. It is so light that you will forget that you are actually applying any thing .These settle to matte finish  after a second or two,so you have to be quick to correct mistakes,if any. Colorpop ultra matte is very much criticized among beauty bloggers for its drying and uncomfortable formula but I do not find these drying I think they have revised their formulation. These are super long wearing and transfer proof. They easily stays for about 6 to 8 hours. These do not crumble or fades from my lips.I do not find these drying but exfoliating and moisturising is a must for beautiful finish.Bumble is such a gorgeous shade that I want to wear it every single day. These survive meals but after very oily food touch up is a must.It is easy to reapply these lipsticks. These are super affordable after free shipping they are  among the cheap liquid lipstick that I own. However, with shipping it cost around 600 to 700 rupees.

Ratings  : 5/5

Conclusion : I love both the shades and formula is also very comfortable.I recommend both the shades. If you have not tried Colourpop yet what are you doing??Go grab some stuff .These are best and affordable liquid lipsticks in the market.
